Posted by: Sento - 02-18-2012, 09:59 AM - Forum: News & Announcements - Replies (2)

Ok so as you all saw we had a few spambots come on the forum the other day.  Silly me thought we could get by while I figured out our email problem.  well obviously it wasn't so I am back to square one.  I am working on this today as I am sick so hopefully I can figure out why this email issue is slowing us down.  I will update here as the day goes on lol

  Preliminary Community name vote
Posted by: Sento - 02-15-2012, 08:19 PM - Forum: News & Announcements - Replies (5)

Alright here is the final names that I received and was able to confirm a .com or .net was available

So now we need to narrow this list down before each clan castes its vote.  So there is a poll below for you to caste a vote for one of these names.  After 1 week the 3 top votes will go to each of the clans, the leaders of the clans will hold a private vote with their members and turn in their clan's final vote to me(each clan gets 1 vote)

If both clans do not vote the same name, then we will be forced to wait for GK rebels or the other warband mod group to join in order to break the tie.

So names for consideration is now closed and this is what we got.
Personally I don't like SMD and STU but thats just me lol

  Community URL update 2/9/12
Posted by: Sento - 02-09-2012, 11:55 AM - Forum: News & Announcements - Replies (22)

Ok, so once again I will say this mainly for Absurdity Members since none of them except for Naut(Tongue) gave a rat's ass at what we call ourselves.

I thought our domain name was expired in Jan and when I went to go check to do the nameservers I noticed it expires in March.  So we have until then to come up with a new domain name to call ourselves.

League of Revolution kinda only has meaning to myself at this point as all the original founding members are kinda gone... lol so the name really has no meaning anymore, so I'd like to bring it to a vote on what we should call ourselves.

So id like to take a bit of time over the next few weeks to take in ideas for what our community should be called.  It needs to be something generic that would fit all game genres.

The voting process will work kinda how future things are going to work as far as decision making will go as I had originally designed(but never implemented due to us almost dying out lol).  Each clan GK, Absurdity, as well as GK Rebels if they join us quick enough will have 1 vote for the name between the clan.  I will let each clan's leaders know when to start voting for names because I want this post to gather ideas.  In the event of a tie we will simply stick with LoR until another clan joins(if GK rebels don't join) and they break the tie.)

So give some ideas and keep things generic Smile I will keep an updated list in this first post when I start to get ideas.

  Calendar Ready
Posted by: MadocComadrin - 02-07-2012, 05:13 PM - Forum: News & Announcements - Replies (7)

The Calendar is ready to go!

You can find the Calendar on the menu strip that appears on every page (between the "My Messages" and "Members" menus). If you cannot see the option, or you have some other issue, let me know.

For members who can add events
to the Calendar (Currently Moderators; Absudity Members; and GK Lords, Nobility, and Server Admins), you can create an event by choosing "Post Event" in the drop-down menu, or by clicking the "Post Event" button when viewing the Calendar.

When creating an event, the Title and Date are required. You can (and should) also link the event to a post. To link an event to a post, first make the event, then in the "Event Options" check the "Link Event to Post" box and choose a board to post the event in. The page will then resemble the "New Topic" page, where you can enter in the message for the original post (use this to describe your event and enter in additional time information). Click "Post" when you are ready to post the event. A thread will automatically be created in the board you chose.

If you have and questions, let me know.
